Project Plan Template

A project plan is an outline that is used as a roadmap for the execution of a project. It includes:

  • Project Objectives: The project’s expected outcomes and goals.
  • Project Deliverables: A list of tangible outputs that the project is expected to produce.
  • Schedule of Work: A timeline that visualises the progress of tasks. A project plan can also include Gantt charts to help visualise project progress.
  • Resource Allocation: The resources required for the project i.e labor, finances etc.
  • Task Distribution: Assignment of project responsibilities to team members.
  • Risk Management Plans: Identification of potential risks with possible mitigation plans.

With a clear outline of the key elements required for a project’s completion, a project plan ensures clear communication between a team and fosters accountability. Regular reviews and updates to the plan are essential to adapt to changes and keep the project on track.
